Crystal Waters is a handcrafted resin water sculpture that comes alive in sunlight. Its translucent, sculpted surface catches and refracts the light, casting beautiful water-like ripples onto the surface beneath it. As the natural light changes, the reflections shift with it, creating the magical movement of sunlight dancing through real water. Layers of crystal-clear and turquoise resin complete the illusion, bringing the feeling of tropical water into your home.

The Story Behind The Piece

Water sculpting is one of those techniques that looks effortless when it works, but is incredibly difficult to get right. Recreating the natural movement, depth and irregularity of real water in resin took a lot of experimenting, and plenty of failed attempts along the way.

That challenge was exactly what made me want to master it.

Crystal Waters became the result of repeatedly experimenting with the resin, learning how to manipulate the surface and understanding how light would interact with every ripple and texture.

The finished piece captures more than the appearance of clear tropical water. When sunlight passes through the sculpted surface, it casts shimmering water-like reflections beneath it, changing as the natural light changes.

A technique I struggled to get right became one of the most captivating pieces I’ve created.
Materials & Finish

Each water sculpture is created through a multi-stage process that takes several days to complete. The water texture is first sculpted by hand in clay, capturing the irregular ripples and movement of real water. A silicone mould is then created from the finished sculpture before layers of clear and turquoise epoxy resin are carefully cast to form the final piece.

The translucent resin allows light to pass through and interact with the sculpted surface, creating the distinctive water-like reflections beneath it. Each piece is individually handcrafted from start to finish, meaning no two water patterns will ever be exactly the same.
Delivery & Care

Delivery

Each water sculpture is handmade to order through a multi-stage process. Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for your piece to be created. Once complete, it will be carefully packaged and sent via tracked delivery.

Care

Gently dust using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products, excessive heat and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight when not displaying the light effect. Handle the sculpted resin surface and frame with care.
